Addenda to Pew Notes 17th September

Well you knew it would only be a matter of time didn’t you??? After all I’m stuck out here in Ormskirk, hardly in a position to keep my ear to the ground…whinge, whine, grouch…
Anyway, two updates for this coming weekend.
Saturday 22nd September will see the licencing of twelve Lay Readers, which I’m guessing will be at 3pm but chances are I could be wrong about that, so watch this space……Have now confirmed that the service is at 3, and is a Eucharist, and the setting is Schubert in G (what else?)
Sunday, 23rd September will see the installation of….no not another Dean just yet….Canon/s Diocesan, which I believe will take place at Evensong.
See next week’s notes for forthcoming events such as the Archbishop Blanche Memorial lecture on 9th October at Hope University (Angela Tilby)
I am asked by our very own living Saint Canon Michael Wolfe to flag up Evensong on Sunday 21st, which will be a celebration of the seventieth Anniversary of the Council of Christians and Jews, with Bishop Lord Richard Harries of Pentregarth, formerly Bishop of Oxford and CCJ (UK) Chairman as the guest preacher. All Welcome
I will attempt a more comprehensive update in next week’s notes.
