Choir (08)During May half term there will be a two day singing challenge for young people at the Cathedral.
Director of Music, David Poulter has been visiting six local Primary Schools as part of an initiative to support the development of singing for young people. During this process he has been choosing children to be part of the singing event at the Cathedral on the 26th-27th May. Along with several other professional musicians he will take workshops and the event will end with an informal performance in the Well.
David said: “It is hoped that this event will attract some media interest and help us to advertise the fact that we are looking for new choristers for the Cathedral choir. Indeed, it is my fervent hope that, as a result of singing in this glorious building, and mixing with our Cathedral choristers, some of our young visitors might be interested in coming again on 6th June to audition for a place in Liverpool Cathedral Choir! ”
